Brian Moran coming to Harrisonburg

On Tuesday, Dec. 4th at 4:30pm, Virginia Secretary of Public Safety Brian Moran and Parole Board Chair Adrianne Bennett are coming to Harrisonburg to discuss parole in Virginia and related topics. They will be speaking publicly at the Festival Center at JMU in conference Room 8 from 4:30-6:00 pm. This event is free and open the public. No registration is required.

Secretary of Public Safety Brian Moran’s 15-20 minute presentation will be “Parole: the Current Landscape in Virginia”

Parole Board Chair Adrianne Bennett’s 15-20 minute presentation will be “Virginia Parole Board’s Scope of Releasing Authority”
40-60-minute Q&A

Prior to the public event, Moran and Bennett will also be having invitation-only discussions with members of the Valley Justice Coalition and other interested parties about parole and geriatric release.

JMU students, faculty and staff must park in designated student parking lots. All other guests may park in lots D1 and D3 from 2-6pm. No parking permits will be necessary. Guests may receive parking citations if parked in restricted lots.
