The Valley Justice Coalition facilitates visitation to prisons near and far. We facilitate visitation in two ways. First, if you are interested in visiting inmates but don’t have a particular person in mind, we can connect you to a prison chaplain who can facilitate your participation in activities and groups in Virginia prisons. Please contact us if this is something you would be interested in joining.

A second way we facilitate visitation is to arrange carpooling. Many area residents have family members held in faraway prisons that are difficult to get to. By carpooling, the costs of visiting can be significantly reduced. Sometimes these trips are planned in collaboration with RIHD in Richmond.
